This hands-on, real life project directs students to research annual reports from a real public company of their choice. To differentiate instruction, students have the option to write a paper or prepare a visual presentation (slideshow) with the content they collect, interpret, and analyze. This project requires the preparation of revenue and net income/loss graphs for a 5 year period based on data contained in a company's annual report. This is an ideal end of year final project for an accounting or finance course on a high school or college level. If preferred by the instructor, students may also be assigned to work in pairs on this project. Instructions, reference material, and rubrics are included in this lesson download.
