Business Plan Project for High School or College Students
Are you ready to teach your students how to write a professional business plan? This course has helped entrepreneurs and students develop a professional written business plan to prepare all facets of their new business.
This project encompasses 6-7 weeks in a classroom for students to complete. If you wish to shorten the project length, simply have students work on this project at home, or assign teams of 4. Supplemental materials are added to the classroom version of this course including professional marketing tools. Grading rubrics are provided for clear and easy assessment.
To heighten the motivation level for students, teachers have the option of making this project a competition. It is suggested to contact a local business organization such as a Chamber of Commerce to sponsor the project, recruiting some of their members to volunteer as judges and donating prizes for the top 3 ranked teams. More details about the optional competition, as well as a judges' scoring template, are provided in week 3.
This business plan course includes 8 sections, as follows:
1 - Executive Summary (available for free preview)
2 - Company Summary
3 - Market Analysis
4 - Marketing Plan
5 - Social Responsibility
6 - Web Plan
7 - Management Summary

Each week includes an introductory video and a corresponding written component for the lesson. Follow the steps in this course to have your students develop their own business plans and achieve simplified success!
